Wow. Thanks for the information about the reader–I never realized that before. I’ve read the paper book, but I’ll definitely have to check the audiobook out now. Unbelievably well written book and an amazingly well read book. Certain books ‘come to life’ when read like this one was read. Kudos to Corduner on this book. We gush over this book too and it is a ‘recommendation book’ for all of our customers. Appreciate the review!

This audio book truly is a masterpiece! The story is beautiful and once you arrive on Himmelstreet and meet the people that make the story you will love and cry. I will never forget Rudy aka Jessie Owens ;o). In my opinion the reader of the audio book can make or break the story for me. Other stories that I’ve enjoyed even more because of the amazing readers are “South of Broad” read by Mark Diekens, “The Help” and “Velva Jean learns to drive” both read by Jenna Lamia, “The Blood of Flowers” read by Shoreh. I love this site! I have found the “Book Thief” because of you and will give “Ruby in the Smoke” a try next.
